As October wound down, the 60 in 60 campaign was in full effect in Kensington!
First, we held another successful Marketplace at Circle of Hope. Aside from the delicious produce and bulk items we offered, some members ordered their Thanksgiving bird from Koch's Turkey Farms. Koch's is a local farm that offers Certified Humane turkeys. Who knows, maybe ordering these birds will become a KCFC Thanksgiving tradition!
We're also happy to report that at the Marketplace we welcomed new member households Cameron and Rebecca D, and Alexandra and Dimitri! I wonder who will become a member next. Maybe it's you? Help us meet our goal of 60 members in 60 days!
The Marketplace is open to the public and held every second and fourth Thursday of each month. But take note, due to scheduling for the holidays, it will be held only twice over the next two months--on November 12 and December 10. Hope to see you then! Stop by the membership table to say hello!
Just a day after Marketplace, Bottle Bar East hosted us for a happy hour. Members enjoyed happy hour prices for the entire event, and as a result of Bottle Bar East graciously donating $1 back to the co-op from drink sales, we raised $50! The co-op also welcomed a new member household. Welcome Kristene and Hailey!
We’re going to keep marching forward with the 60 in 60 campaign. Our next big event is the Pizza Brain/Little Baby's Eat & Greet on Wednesday (November 6) at 6:30 pm. See more details here. Are you Facebook? Let us know you're coming at the event page. As always, we want to spread the word to your friends!
