Matching Member Loan Program Extended!

Member loans made through March 19th will be matched dollar-for-dollar by The Common Market

Last month, The Common Market posed a challenge to KCFC owners:
Raise $25,000 for your grocery store, and we’ll match every dollar.

$25,000 in 25 Days. KCFC. The Common Market. Good. Fresh. Local.

In a few short weeks, we’re more than halfway to goal.
But there’s still more to be done.

Now through March 19th, The Common Market will match all new member loans made to KCFC, dollar for dollar, up to $25,000! Which means:

  • A $1,000 loan becomes $2,000 raised
  • A $2,500 loan becomes $5,000 raised
  • A $5,000 loan becomes $10,000 raised

Why Member Loans
Member Loans are an important way for member-owners to make a financial investment in KCFC that will help open the store. These loans provide project-critical startup capital that will be repaid (with interest) after KCFC is open.

When We Band Together, We Can Do Big Things
Recent history shows us that our economic strength is magnified together. That’s why when you make a Member Loan, your commitment is supported by the groundswell of other owner households like you.

"There's something very powerful about people coming together to create something for the good of all." - Ruth Brown, Member-Owner

Pooled together, we have the power to see big projects like $1.9 million grocery stores through to reality. It’s possible through all of us coming together.

To-date, 80+ member-owners have committed nearly $320,000 in loans to the project.

Remember why you joined and the community you’ve built in KCFC.
